The Civil Air Patrol serves the following three primary functions:
- Aerospace Education provides CAP members
and the educational community information about aviation and
space activities. (more

- Cadet Programs inspire the country's youth
(ages 12 to 21) to become leaders and good citizens through
their interest in aviation and community service. Cadets progress
through achievements that include aerospace
education, leadership programs, moral leadership, physical
fitness and other activities. (more info)
- Emergency Services include air and ground
search and rescue, disaster relief, counterdrug, and an increasing
